Ken

No chance to turn,
You never saw it coming.
It wasn’t your fault –
Fate and a drunk had you marked
From the start.

No chance to heal,
You were gone before I knew it.
It wasn’t your fault –
Doctors and medicine couldn’t save you
In the end.

No chance to return,
You left so many friends.
It wasn’t your fault –
Prayers and tears couldn’t help
Bring you back.

No chance to forgive,
I never should have argued.
It was all my fault –
I should never have
Let you go.
