Comics

Follow these links to enjoy my favorite online comics.

Applegeeks
Combine fantastic artwork, hilarious storylines, and Apple computers and what do you get? "Applegeeks," that's what. Fun, funny, and fruity, and updated Mondays and Thursdays.

Ctrl+Alt+Del
Some of the storylines in this comic will only make sense to gamers, but most people will be able to relate to the geeky tendencies of Ethan and Lucas and their friends. Creator Tim Buckley makes me look forward to every new strip.

Copper
One of the most charmingly adorable comics I've read in years, the young boy Copper and his dog/friend Fred do all sorts of things together and remind us of how to see through the fresh eyes of youth. I haven't felt that sort of thing from a comic since Calvin and Hobbes ended.

IceBox
All sorts of animated short comedies and animated series available for your viewing pleasure. A good laugh when you need it.

Joe Phillips
Phenomenal works of art, drawings, web design, and comics - all very provocative and gay supportive. Read amusing comics or just enjoy great artistry. It's all here.

Lore Brand Comics
If you can't get sage advice from a guy with a shaved head, a goatee, and dark sunglasses than who can you get your advice from?

Megatokyo
Manga comics look out! It's Piro and Largo in Japan, finding trouble as only l33t gamers could do.

Ozzie and Millie
Talk about foxes! These are foxes you won't want to take your eyes off of. A great online series looking at life through sly animal eyes.

Penny Arcade!
Hilarious! If you aren't into computer gaming much of this will simply fly way over your head, but for those who are in the know, this is simply hilarious material along with a great drawing style.

PhD (Piled Higher and Deeper)
A comic strip about graduate students? Are you kidding me? Believe it or not it's funny stuff. Even if you haven't ever gone to college you'll find this comic amusing (and if you have been to college, you'll find it hilarious).

Powerpuff Girls Doujinshi
What would it be like if all of your favorite cartoon characters were in the same manga comic - the Powerpuff Girls, Dexter, Samurai Jack, Courage the Cowardly Dog, the Fairly Oddparents, Grim, Invader Zim, Megas XLR and more? This is where you can find out. With manga-modified versions of all of the best cartoon characters in one action-packed story arc, this comic is as compelling to read as it is beautiful to view.

PvP (Player vs. Player)
Follow the lives of a fictional staff for a gaming magazine. As with Penny Arcade!, PvP can lose you if you aren't into gaming, but there is outrageous human drama mixed in here as well. And how many comics have a hermaphroditic troll?

Real Life
With a new comic every weekday, Real Life is an irreverant look at the lives of gamers. Whether swigging endless Pepsi's, playing Final Fantasy for days on end, or plotting schemes of world domination, these characters will always keep you laughing.

Red Meat
As seen in the finest alternative newspapers, it's Red Meat, the irreverent, always bizzare comic strip about human interaction. Try it; you'll like it.

Sinfest
With a new strip every day, Sinfest never fails to make me laugh. Strips sometimes flow for days on a given topic about love, sex, relationships, religion, good, evil, and the state of the universe. Deep subjects seem simple through these characters.

Something Positive
Don't let the name fool you - this is pure cynicism at its best, not something for the faint-hearted. Seriously, this comic is hilarious - biting, cynical, sarcastic, and twisted. What more could you ask for?

SquirrelWorks
Chris and Aaron offer four different comics here (six, axtually, if you count the non-featured strips). "Coz/Effect" and "Fairview High" have a large back-catalogue of great serialized strips, and the new "Battlegate" is already drawing me in. "Soulstone" is too new for me to judge, but if it's anything like the rest of these comics, it'll be a must-read.

VG Cats
This isn't just another comic about gaming. It's an amazingly cynical and sarcastic look at gaming with a cool artistic style. The perfect elements for smart and funny strips.
